Analysis
The Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws of the Grand Prairie Sports Facilities Development Corporation (Sports Corp.) require the City Council to appoint the President and members of the Board of Directors.
The terms for Council Members Jorja Clemson and Greg Giessner will expire on May 31, 2019. The term of Board Member Eddie Freeman will expire on July 31, 2019. The City Council will need to appoint 2 City Council members to the Sports Corp. Board of Directors and one member to the Sports Corp. Board of Directors who is not a City Council member. In addition, the City Council will need to appoint the President for a one year term.
