Price Agreement for electronics recycling from URT Solutions of Fort Worth (up to $60,000 annually) for one year with the option to renew for four additional one year periods totaling $300,000 if all extensions are exercised and authorize the City Manager to execute the renewal options with aggregate price fluctuations of the lesser of up to $50,000 or 25% of the original maximum price so long as sufficient funding is appropriated by the City Council to satisfy the City’s obligation during the renewal terms

Analysis
The City of Grand Prairie landfill collects approximately 318,000 pounds of electronics annually. This contract will provide for the removal of consumer electronics, to include computers, keyboards, mice, monitors, CPUs and televisions from the landfill’s citizens’ convenience area on an as needed basis.
Notice of bid #19110 was advertised in the Fort Worth Star Telegram and Bid Sync; it was distributed to thirty-four vendors. There was one Grand Prairie vendors available for this commodity. Three bids were received as shown on attachment A.
The best value bid received from URT Solutions of Fort Worth meets specifications and is recommended for award.
Financial Consideration
Funds are available in FY 2018/2019 Solid Waste Fund (303510) for miscellaneous services (61485) and will be charged accordingly on orders through the end of the current fiscal year. Funding for future fiscal years will be paid from each year’s approved budgets.
