Ordinance amending the FY 2018/2019 Cemetery Replacement Fund

Recommended Action

Analysis
During the FY 2020 budget process it was determined to consolidate the Cemetery Replacement Fund into the Cemetery Operating Fund. This Council action will complete this function.
The Finance and Government Committee was updated at their July 31, 2019 meeting, and was approved at that time.
Financial Consideration
Funding, in the amount of $813,769, the incremental change, is available by approving an ordinance transferring and appropriating from in the unobligated fund balance in the Cemetery Replacement Fund (316310), to the FY 2019/2020 Cemetery Operating Fund (316210) reserve for future expansion.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GRAND PRAIRIE, TEXAS, AMENDING THE FY 2018/2019 CEMETERY REPLACEMENT FUND BY TRANSFERRING AND APPROPRIATING $817,769 FROM THE UNOBLIGATED FUND BALANCE IN THE CEMETERY REPLACEMENT FUND (316310) TO THE FY 2019/2020 CEMETERY OPERATING FUND (316210) RESERVE FOR FUTURE EXPANSION
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND PRAIRIE, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. That the FY 2018/2019 Cemetery Replacement Fund be amended by transferring and appropriating from in the unobligated fund balance to the FY 2019/2020 Cemetery Operating Fund (316210) reserve for future expansion.
