Analysis
The Public Works, Streets Maintenance Division is responsible for providing safe and comfortable riding surfaces to the 650 center lane miles of streets within the City. The goal is to keep the roadways to a PCI rating of 70 or above (rated on a scoring system of 0-100). These funds will be expended as $2,000,000 for residential streets, $1,000,000 towards collector roadways and $1,000,000 for miscellaneous paving projects. The paving on these roadways will consist of Hot Mix Asphalt Overlay, Concrete Panel Replacement to include curb and gutter sections at various locations throughout the City.

Funding for the FY 2019/2020 Special Projects is available by approving an ordinance transferring and appropriating $4,000,000 from the unobligated fund balance in the Streets Capital Projects Fund (400192) WO #02013503 (FY20 MISC STREET REHAB)

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND PRAIRIE, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. THAT THE FY 2019/2020 Capital Improvement Projects Budget be amended by transferring and appropriating $4,000,000 from the unobligated fund balance in the Street Capital Projects Fund (400192) to WO #02013503 (FY20 Misc Street Rehab).
