Analysis
The price agreement is for the purchase of reinforced concrete pipe at an estimated annual cost of $60,000, to be used by the Public Works, Street Services Division. Annual estimated quantities are not known and vary from year to year. Award will be based on low bid which meets the specifications.
Notice of bid #20003 was advertised and viewed by 15 vendors, including one Grand Prairie vendor. Only one bid was received, as shown on Attachment A.
The only bid, received from Forterra Pipe & Precast meets specifications and is recommended for award.
Financial Consideration
Funding for reinforced concrete pipe with Forterra Pipe & Precast in the amount of $60,000 is available in the FY 2019/2020 General Fund Budget for Street Services Department, (251110) DIRT, (63030) Streets, Roads, Highway Maintenance; Storm Water Utility Fund (257010) Streets, Roads, Highway Maintenance (63030).
Funds are available in various departments operating budgets and will be charged accordingly on orders through the end of the fiscal year. Funding for future fiscal years will be paid from that year's approved budgets.
