Analysis

This agreement is to maintain and repair fitness equipment throughout the city. This includes preventative maintenance services on all equipment (475 pieces) at the following locations: Charley Taylor, CVE Training Center, Dalworth Rec Center, The Summit, The Epic, Tony Shotwell Life Center, ten Fire Stations, and the Public Safety Bldg. fitness room. This will also include any repairs needed for broken equipment.

Notice of bid #20070 was advertised in the Fort Worth Star Telegram and Bid Sync; it was distributed to 17 vendors. There were no Grand Prairie vendors available for this commodity.  Four bids was received as shown on attachment A.

The award was based on best value criteria set up in the specification, experience, quality of service, price, past relationship with the city and other municipalities, and other relevant criteria as listed in the specification.

Fixed Fitness meets specifications and is recommended for award.

Financial Consideration

Funds are available in various departments operating budgets and will be charged accordingly on orders through the end of the fiscal year.  Funding for future fiscal years will be paid from that year’s approved budgets.
