Analysis
The City of Grand Prairie Landfill accepts concrete rubble from Water Utilities, Streets Division and outside vendors, which is stockpiled for periodic screening and crushing. The resultant produce is made available to Streets Division as flex-base for road projects. Though the screening is performed in-house, mobilizing equipment and crushing the concrete rubble is provided for through a price agreement with a concrete recycler.
Notice of bid #20074 was advertised in the Fort Worth Star Telegram and Bid Sync; it was distributed to 7 vendors. There were no Grand Prairie vendors available for this commodity. One bid was received as shown on Attachment A.
The low bid, received from Big City Crushed Concrete, meets specifications and is recommended for award.
