Analysis

The Dallas County Commissioners Court designated a portion of its CARES Act funds to provide $55 per capita for direct COVID-19 related expenditures to municipalities located in Dallas County.  The 2019 population of City of Grand Prairie residents residing in Dallas County is 130,444.  Therefore, Dallas County agrees to grant and transfer the amount of $7,174,420 to the City of Grand Prairie. The City may use these funds to reimburse itself for COVID-19 expenditures already paid and incurred, and for expenditures to assist with its ongoing response to COVID-19.

Financial Consideration

Dallas County will provide $55 per capita for 130,444 Grand Prairie residents residing in Dallas County, totaling $7, 174,420.
