Authorization for submission of a grant application to the Texas State Library and Archives Commission for InterLibrary Loans (ILL)

The Texas State Library and Archives Commission offers an annual grant to reimburse at the end of the fiscal year for Grand Prairie Library material loaned to other libraries in the state through its Interlibrary Loan program. For example, if a person in Bacon, Texas, wants the book Bacon Nation: 125 Irresistible Recipes, and their local library doesn't have it, a request goes out to all participating library systems in Texas. If we have it and lend it, we would be reimbursed for that through the ILL program. And, visa versa, if a GPLS customer wants a book we do not have, we can get it for them anywhere in Texas from another library system.
Your GPLS has participated in the state's ILL program for decades an would like to continue to offer this valuable service to our customers.
