Price Agreement with Traffic Logix for preformed speed cushions (up to $14,850 annually) for one year with the option to renew for four additional one year periods totaling $64,250 if all extensions are exercised and authorize the City Manager to execute the renewal options with aggregate price fluctuations of the lesser of up to $50,000 or 25% of the original maximum price so long as sufficient funding is appropriated by the City Council to satisfy the City's obligation during the renewal period

Analysis
This Price Agreement is for the purchase of Preformed Speed Cushions. Designed and used as traffic calming devices, speed cushions are generally used in locations where low speeds are desired and suitable for the surrounding traffic environment. Speed cushions are used only on residential streets throughout the City and are not for use on major roadways, bus routes, or primary emergency response routes. The speed cushions are made from recycled rubber tires and are maintenance free. They are secured to the road with anchors and bolts making them easy to remove and reinstall as necessary.
Notice of bid #21008 was advertised in the Fort Worth Star Telegram and Bid Sync; it was distributed to 20 vendors, including three Grand Prairie vendors and 3 HUB. One bid was received as shown on attachment A.
The low bid received from Traffic Logix meets specifications and is recommended for award.
Financial Consideration
Funding for speed cushions is available in the FY 2020/2021 General Fund Streets Budget 251210 (Streets, Roads, Highway Maintenance) for 63030 (Street Maintenance) and will be charged accordingly on orders through the end of the current fiscal year. Funding for future fiscal years will be paid from that year's approved budgets.
