Analysis
The City Council at their July 21, 2015 meeting authorized the City Manager to enter into a Local Project Advance Funding Agreement (LPAFA) with TXDOT for the interchange improvements along SH360 Frontage Roads at Camp Wisdom Road, Lynn Creek Parkway, New York Avenue, and Ragland Road. The amendment will fund the extension of SH 360 fiber communication trunk line to the existing traffic signal cabinet located on the Southeast corner of SH 360 Southbound Frontage Road at Kingswood/Green Oaks Blvd.
Design and construction cost of fiber connection to Kingswood traffic signal cabinet at SH 360 Southbound Frontage Road is $46,178. City is responsible for 100% of the cost including any cost overruns. Improvements will establish communication from City Traffic Management Center (TMC) to Kingswood Traffic signal controller. Communication from TMC to all signalized intersections along SH 360 Frontage Road is necessary in order to keep signals coordinated and maintain traffic signal progression along SH 360 frontage roads. This project will improve mobility; reduce travel time, delay, and air emissions.

Funding in the total amount of $46,178 is available in Streets Capital Projects Fund (400192) WO #01708003 (FY17 High Accident Locations)
