Analysis
These vehicles will be additions to the fleet according to the city replacement/improvement schedule. The purchase of the vehicles were included in the FY 2017/2018 Approved Operating Budgets and include the following:
• three (3) Ford Interceptor sedans for Special Service Police (SSP) and are improvements to the fleet.
Notice of bid #18028 for three (3) Ford Interceptor Special Service Police (SSP) sedans was advertised and viewed by thirty-two (32) vendors. There were three (3) Grand Prairie vendors notified of this bid. Three (3) bids were received as shown on attachment A.
The low bid received from Randall Reed's Prestige Ford ($77,850) meets specifications and is recommended for award.
Financial Consideration
Funding for the vehicles in the amount of $77,850 is budgeted as follows:
1. $77,850 in Crime Tax Fund (286110-68320) Police.
