Analysis
Replacement of deteriorated water and wastewater mains is a priority for the city. As part of the FY18 Capital Improvement Budget, project funds are approved for these improvements
This contract provides for the preparation of design and bidding documents for the following water and wastewater replacements:
• Water & Wastewater along San Antonio Street (from SW 21st to SW 23rd)
• Water along SW 5th Street (from Cherokee Trail to Bernie)
• Wastewater along NE 15th Street (from Main to Small Street)
• Wastewater from 1705 Carrier Pl. to 1812 Carrier Pl.
• Wastewater along Great Southwest Parkway, (Medical Row to W.E. Roberts)
• Wastewater from N. Alley to S. Alley at 714 Finland
The firm of Multatech Engineers is recommended to provide surveying and engineering services for these locations and to provide plans and specifications for bidding and construction purposes in the total amount of $130,470.
The design is anticipated to be completed by June 2018 with bidding and construction services to follow.
Financial Consideration
Funding in the total amount of $130,470 for this project is provided from the following funds:
1. $63,916 is available in Water Capital Projects Fund (500592) WO #01811003 (FY18 Water Main Replacements)
2. $66,554 is available in Wastewater Capital Projects Fund (500692) WO #01812403 (FY18 Wastewater Main Replacements - Various Locations)
