Analysis
For many years, Republic Waste Services has provided solid waste collection to the City of Grand Prairie for both residents and commercial businesses. Since 2000, they have also provided residential curbside recycling collection. The current 10-year Franchise agreement for these services will expire on September 30, 2019.
This discussion of current solid waste and recycling collection services will culminate in a request for direction to move forward in negotiations with Republic Waste Services.
