Analysis
PlayGrand Adventures is a one-of-a-kind regional playground that will provide infinite possibilities for play and discovery upon every visit. PlayGrand Adventures will stimulate, challenge and encourage exploration for all ages while promoting social interaction and wellness. This is not just a children’s playground but one designed for all ages and abilities.
Phase I of PlayGrand Adventures will consist of the main entrance on the southern edge of the property, parking, and the major walkway leading north towards the existing restroom. The entrance will exhibit sponsors who have graciously contributed to the project, as well as inspirational quotes. Two play zones are included in Phase I. The Adventure Zone will provide the highest-intensity play for all ability levels. The zone will feature vibrant and whimsical play equipment, with a wide variety of play opportunities such as climbing, swinging, and spinning. Abundant shade and areas to socialize will be spaced throughout the play area. This zone includes a play area specifically designed for toddlers with separated activities on a miniature scale. Adventure Hill provides visitors of all abilities to experience varying heights and physical challenges at new levels. This zone will elevate and give access to park visitor’s activities high above the rest of the playground and will accommodate spinning, sliding, climbing and learning activities in ways traditional playgrounds cannot offer.
