Analysis
Funding for the acquisition of electric people movers was approved in the FY 2017/2018 Epic Sales Tax Budget in the amount of $75,000. One electric vehicle was purchased on November 03, 2017 in the amount of $36,363 from GatorMoto Utility Vehicles under the State cooperative contract TXMAS-16-7802. The performance and quality of the unit meet staff and Epic Waters managing agent expectations and as such an additional accessible unit need was identified to ensure all transportation needs could be meet at both Epic Waters and The Epic. GatorMoto Utility Vehicles provided information regarding accessible units and confirmed the unit would also be covered through the TXMAS contract.

With the purchase of the accessible unit in the amount of $35,304, the aggregate purchase from GatorMoto Utility Vehicles for the current fiscal year will be $71,667; the aggregate purchase from GatorMoto Utility Vehicles requires formal City Council action.
