Analysis
With Phase 1 of the RJC ballroom renovation completed, Phase 2 was a recommended item for Council consideration in the Park FY2019 CIP Budget. However, due to accelerated degradation of audio systems, management determined that the sound component of Phase 2 needs to start immediately. Additionally, in order to limit the amount of down time experienced in the ballroom, the chandelier installation of Phase 2 should be completed in tandem with the sound installation. If approved by Council, the proposed Parks FY2019 CIP Budget for Phase 2 will be reduced by portions funded in FY18 as specified in this Council Communication.
