Analysis

Espey Consultants dba RPS has long developed the City's Wastewater Master Plans and provided general support on wastewater issues, many of which are Master plan related. This included running the hydraulic models to support development and compliance with state regulations regarding maintenance of line capacities and control of Infiltration/Inflow into the Sanitary Sewer System.  In addition to Master Plan/hydraulic Model support, we require support to monitor TRA metering to assure we are charged fairly for wastewater services, support for start up of the South Sector Lift station and other wastewater issues that may arise.

 

Financial Consideration

Funding for an engineering Contract with Espey Consultants, Inc. DBA RPS in the amount of $65,400 plus a 5% contingency amount of $3,270 for a total project amount of $68,670 is available by approving an ordinance transferring and appropriating from the unobligated fund balance in the Wastewater Capital Projects Fund (500692) to WO #01413803 (WWST Issues Support) 61039 (Professional Services)

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GRAND PRAIRIE, TEXAS, AMENDING THE FY 2015/2016 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS BUDGET BY TRANSFERRING AND APPROPRIATING $68,670 FROM THE UNOBLIGATED FUND BALANCE IN THE WASTEWATER CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND (500692) TO WO #01413803 (WWST ISSUES SUPPORT)

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND PRAIRIE, TEXAS:

 

SECTION 1.  THAT THE FY 2015/2016 Capital Improvement Projects Budget be amended by transferring and appropriating $68,670 from the unobligated fund balance in the Wastewater Capital Projects Fund (500692) to WO #01413803 (WWST Issues Support).
