Analysis
In order to cover both adjacent schools (Dubiski High School and Marshall Elementary School) on either side of Fieldcrest Drive, combining the effective times of both the existing school zone and the newly established one-way designation is recommended. The existing school zone is on Fieldcrest Drive between Warrior Trail and Westbrook Court. The one-way begins on Fieldcrest Drive north of the main drives to both schools (380’ north of Warrior Trail) northbound and continues eastbound on Valley Brook Lane up to Boundbrook Lane.
The combined effective times for both the school zone and the one-way segment will begin at 7:15 am until 9:00 am and from 3:00 pm until 4:45 pm on school days.
Financial Consideration
Costs associated with updating the effective times will be paid out of the Street operating budget.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GRAND PRAIRIE, TEXAS, AMENDING SCHEDULE IV OF THE TRAFFIC REGISTER DESIGNATED STREETS AND ALLEYWAYS AS ONE-WAY; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND TO BECOME EFFECTIVE UPON ITS PASSAGE, APPROVAL AND PUBLICATION
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND PRAIRIE, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. THAT Schedule III - Establish Maximum Speed Limits less than 30 mph shall be amended as follows:

SECTION 3. THAT this section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase, or portion of this ordinance is for any reason held invalid or unconstitutional by any court or competent jurisdiction, such shall be deemed a separate, distinct and independent provision and such holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions thereof.
SECTION 4. THAT all ordinances or part of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
SECTION 5. THAT this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication.
