Price agreement for Locksmith Services from A-1 Locksmith (up to $20,000.00 annually) for one year with the option to renew for four (4) additional one year periods totaling $100,000 if all extensions are exercised; award a secondary to Michael’s Keys Inc. Analysis
This price agreement will be for locksmith services for all City facilities to be used on an as-needed basis.
Notice of bid #16077 was advertised in the Fort Worth Star Telegram, the State’s Electronic Business Daily, Bid Sync and distributed to 27 vendors, including 4 Grand Prairie vendors. Three bids were received, none from a Grand Prairie vendor as shown on the attachment A.
The award was based on best value criteria set up in the specification, including material markup, reputation, quality of service, price, past relationship with the city and other municipalities, if they were local, and other relevant criteria as listed in the specification as shown on attachment B.
A-1 Locksmith meets specifications and is recommended for award. The secondary vendor, Michael’s Keys Inc. will only be used if the primary vendor cannot fulfill the needs of the City.
Reject Bid# 16063. Notice of Bid #16063 was advertised in the Fort Worth Star Telegram, The State's Electronic Business Daily, Bid Sync and distributed to 27 vendors, including 4 Grand Prairie vendors. Three bids were received, none from a Grand Prairie vendor. After evaluating the bids received it was determined there was confusion in the responses in regards to pricing and therefore it was determined it would be necessary to make changes to the specification and pricing sheet and re-bid.
Financial Consideration
Funds are available in FY 2015/2016 budget. The account numbers will be provided by the specific department as needed and will be charged accordingly on orders through the end of the current fiscal year. Funding for future fiscal years will be paid from that year’s approved budgets.
