Analysis
The Robinson Road Pump Station and Elevated Storage Tank was identified as part of the FY 19 Capital Projects Budget and Capital Projects Plan for proposed water projects. A contract was approved by City Council (19-8529) on January 8, 2019 in the amount of $1,695,000. The design included the following:
- Robinson Road 12 MGD Pump Station
Design of Pump Station and appurtenances to house four (4) new horizontal split case pumps and motors to deliver a firm capacity of 12 MGD and associated yard piping required to connect the proposed Pump Station to the existing system

General Representation Construction Phase Services
- Robinson Road 2 MG Composite Elevated Storage Tank
Design of Composite Elevated Storage Tank and appurtenances
Chemical Storage Tanks and Pads for Residual Boosting
Design of an Active Mixing System
- Demolition of Site Facilities
Existing Fire Station to include asbestos sampling
Existing elevated Storage Tank to include Heavy Metals Paint sampling
Existing Fire Tower and associated training equipment
Existing Elevated Storage tank as part of elevated Storage Tank construction package
- Sub-consultant work for lead and asbestos sampling, survey, drilling and testing.
The current Change Order/Amendment #1 in the amount of $84,400 will include:
-Sanitary Sewer Replacement (Design, Bid and Construction Services) up to 800 LF of 8" SS including additional survey south of existing Fire Station #3 property along Robinson Rd.
-Auxiliary Parking Lot (Design Services Only) of no more than 9,500 sf including additional drainage coordination and pavement plan
- Valve Vaults (Design, Bid and Construction Services) of the meter vault and associated appurtenances including: SCADA process and instrumentation (including force air, intruder alarm, electrical plug, lighting, and sump pump with high level alarm), details for installation and performance specification for the pre-cast meter vault design
-Meter and vault (Design Services Only)
- Generator (Design, Bid and Construction Services)
-Chlorine/Ammonia System Improvements (Design Services Only)
Financial Consideration
Funding for change order/amendment #1, in the total amount of $84,400, is available in the Water Capital Projects Budget (500592) WO #01811303 (Robinson Rd EST & 30" Water Line)
