Ratify the contract from 2012-2018 with McGriff, Seibles, & Williams of Texas, Inc for Risk Consultation Services in the annual amount not to exceed $37,500 and authorize the City Manager to execute up to five annual renewal options (approximately $187,500 for five years) for this agreement with aggregate price fluctuations of the lesser of up to $50,000 or 25% of the original contract value so long as sufficient funding is appropriated by the City Council to satisfy the City's obligation during the renewal terms (renewal options beyond the five specified can be authorized, however, will require additional City Council approval)

Analysis
This agreement has an annual value less than $50,000, and the contract has been signed by the City Manager annually. Because the cumulative cost with renewals of the contract exceeds $50,000, staff is asking that City Council ratify expenditure for 2012-2018 and to allow City Manager to execute the current and future available renewal options (up to $187,500 or five one-year renewal options). Additional renewal options beyond the five specified can be authorized, however, will require additional City Council approval.
McGriff, Seibles, & Williams has been an excellent partner to the City and works routinely with Human Resources staff and our City Attorney/Manager's Office on all risk related matters. We continue to have a positive relationship with them and they provide consulting services to us in all areas of risk management as well as provide other services as requested.
This was not presented to the Finance and Government Committee as it is currently budgeted and approved annually in the Risk Fund budget.
Financial Consideration
Funding for our benefits contract with McGriff, Seibles, & Williams of Texas, Inc . is available in the FY 2018/2019 Risk Fund (212010) - 61485 (Miscellaneous Services). No additional funding is needed.
