Price Agreement for electrical repair services for Water Utilities from George-McKenna Electrical Contractors at an estimated annual cost of $80,000 through an interlocal agreement with the City of Irving, for one year with the option to renew for two additional one-year periods totaling $240,000 if all extensions are exercised; and authorize the City Manager to execute the renewal options with aggregate price fluctuations up to $50,000 of the original maximum price so long as sufficient funding is appropriated by the City Council to satisfy the City's obligation during the renewal terms

Analysis
This contract will be for the Water Utilities department to utilize for the purchase of electrical repair services for Water Utilities locations on an as needed basis.
Chapter 271.102 of the Local Government Code authorizes local governments to participate in a cooperative purchasing program with another local government or local cooperative organization. In lieu of competitive bidding, items and services may be purchased through such agreements as the agreements have already been bid by the sponsoring entity or agency. The City of Grand Prairie has master interlocal cooperative agreements with various entities including the City of Irving.
George-McKenna Electrical, Inc. through their contract with the City of Irving (ITB 066J-19F) offers electrical repair services for Water Utilities. George Mc-Kenna Electrical Contractors have provided electrical repair services for Water Utilities for past two years and are familiar with our facilities and equipment.
The City of Irving contract began January 1, 2019 and will expire December 31, 2019, with the option to renew for two (2) additional one-year periods.
Financial Consideration
Funds are available in FY 2018/2019 Water/Wastewater Operating Fund, Water Distribution (361211) Electrical Equipment Maintenance (63055) and Water Mains Maintenance (36095) for these services and will be charged accordingly on orders through the end of the current fiscal year. Funding for future fiscal years will be paid from that year’s approved budgets.
