Analysis
The City has requested two additional street lights to be installed at the Grand Prairie Service Center located at 1801 Robinson Road. The new street lights will be installed on existing wooden poles. Oncor determined there is not an existing easement for these pole locations. Oncor Electric requires an easement dedicated to their exclusive use before installing new street lights (see attached Exhibit “A” for easement description).
This new easement and existing pole locations are shown on “Exhibit B” for an aerial view of the fifteen -foot easement.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GRAND PRAIRIE, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE OF AN EXCLUSIVE PERMANENT EASEMENT AND RIGHT OF WAY TO ONCOR ELECTRIC DELIVERY FOR 0.204 ACRE OF LAND REQUIRED FOR THE INSTALLATION OF NEW STREET LIGHT AT THE CITY OF GRAND PRAIRIE SERVICE CENTER; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DELEGATE TO ENTER INTO AND SIGN ANY REQUIRED DOCUMENTS TO COMPLETE THE EASEMENT CONVEYANCE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, Oncor Electric Delivery Company, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company, requires the City convey an exclusive electric utility easement; and
WHEREAS, said easement is required to install new street lights at the City of Grand Prairie Service Center, 1801 Robinson Road, located in Dallas County in the Benjamin Adair Survey, Abstract No. 19 and the Pablo Mansola Survey, Abstract No. 991 (see attached Exhibit “A” for description of easement); and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Grand Prairie desires to convey the utility easement and right of way to Oncor Electric Delivery Company, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND PRAIRIE, TEXAS:
SECTION 1: That the City of Grand Prairie hereby concurs in the and authorizes the conveyance of an easement containing 0.204 acre of land, located in the City of Grand Prairie, Dallas County, Texas, to Oncor Electric Delivery Company, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company.
SECTION 2: That the City of Grand Prairie does hereby consent to the easement conveyance of said this property.
SECTION 3: That the City Manager or his delegate is hereby authorized to sign any and all required documents related to the easement conveyance to Oncor Electric Delivery Company.
SECTION 4: That this ORDINANCE shall become effective immediately upon its passage and approval.
