Analysis

This price agreement is for the purchase of transportation, sampling, reporting and off-site disposal services of regulated waste. Regulated waste includes but is not limited to the following: water based paints, used oil, absorbent pads with oil, absorbent with gas/oil,  soil cuttings, compact fluorescent blubs, HID bulbs, halogen bulbs, fluorescent bulbs, broken bulbs, ballasts, contaminated gasoline, pesticides, herbicides, and acids and bases.  Removal will occur on an as-needed basis but will be required at least quarterly.

 

Notice of bid #18046 was advertised in the Fort Worth Star Telegram, the State’s Electronic Business Daily, and BidSync.  Five bids were received as shown on attachment A. Staff evaluated bids based on best value criteria established in the solicitation. The Green Planet, Inc. bid meets specifications and is qualified to perform the work.  Staff recommends Green Planet, Inc. for award.

 

This item was placed on the Public Safety Health & Environment Committee agenda for June 4, 2018 and the  Finance & Government agenda for June 5, 2018.

 

 

Financial Consideration

Funds are available in various departments operating budgets and will be charged accordingly on orders through the end of the fiscal year.  Funding for future fiscal years will be paid from that years approved budgets.
