This equipment will be added to the fleet or replace existing equipment according to the city replacement/improvement schedule and included in the FY 2019 Approved Budget. The replaced units are:

• two (2) 2019 CATERPILLAR INC Model: 430F2 backhoe loaders replacing two (2), units, age 2012, backhoe loader in Public Works (Wastewater) totaling $245,700;
• two (2) 2019 CATERPILLAR INC Model: 420F2 backhoe loaders replacing two (2), units, age 2000, backhoe loader in Parks & Recreation totaling $219,950;
• one (1) 2019 CATERPILLAR INC Model: 725C articulated dump truck replacing one (1), unit, age 2008, articulated dump truck in Solid Waste totaling $415,000;
• one (1) 2019 CATERPILLAR INC Model: 930M wheel loader replacing one (1), unit, age 2008, wheel loader in Solid Waste totaling $289,143;
• one (1) 2019 CATERPILLAR INC Model: CP34 padfoot compactor will be an improvement for Public Works (Streets) totaling $85,318; and,
• one (1) 2019 WEILER TT250 tack distributor replacing one (1), unit, age 2008, tack distributor in Public Works (Streets) totaling $20,425.
Chapter 271.102 of the Local Government Code authorizes local governments to participate in a cooperative purchasing program with another local government or local cooperative organization. Each to perform governmental functions or services including administrative functions normally associated with the operation of government. The City of Grand Prairie does not need to competitively bid items purchased through such agreements as they have already been bid by the sponsoring entity or agency. The City of Grand Prairie has master, inter-local cooperative agreements with various entities including Sourcewell.
