Analysis
On February 3, 2015, the Grand Prairie City Council approved an ordinance amending the 2015/2016 Capital Improvement Projects Budget by transferring and appropriating $398,317 from the unobligated fund balance in the Airport Capital Projects Fund (505292) to WO #01511603 (South Development Project) and awarded of a contract in the amount of $396,516.67 to Aerofirma Corporation for construction of taxilanes associated with a development by Staggerwing Development #4, LLC. An additional reimbursement of $1,800 was also approved for geo-technical work preformed prior to the award of contract.
Change Order #1 to the contract was executed on June 2, 2015. Change Order #1 moved funding between lines in the contract and did increase the contract amount.
The project was accepted as complete on September 30, 2015. Change Order #2 to increase the total contract by $1,094 has been submitted by Aerofirma Corporation to cover the costs of mobilization and additional dirt work. Change Order #2 increases the total contract amount to $397,611.
Financial Consideration
Funding for Change Order #2 to the Aerofirma Corporation construction contract is available by approving an ordinance transferring and appropriating $1,094 from the unobligated fund balance in the Airport Capital Projects Fund (505292) to WO #01511603 (South Development Project).

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND PRAIRIE, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. THAT THE FY 2015/2016 Capital Improvement Projects Budget be amended by transferring and appropriating $1,094 from the unobligated fund balance in the Airport Capital Projects Fund (505292) to WO #01511603 (South Development Project).
