Analysis
The City will place an initial order as shown in page 2 of Attachment A. Orders for additional units (not to exceed the quantities specified in the RFB) may be placed at the City’s discretion depending on need and available funding.
These vehicles will either replace existing vehicles in the fleet or add to the fleet according to the city replacement schedule. The purchase of the vehicles were included in the FY 2018/19 Approved Operating Budgets and include the following:
• Seven (7) Chevrolet Tahoes will be replacing seven (7) 2009-2014 Tahoes/Crown Victorias for Police;
• Twelve (12) Chevrolet Tahoes will be replacing twelve (12) 2012-2014 Tahoes for Police;
• Three (3) Chevrolet Tahoes will be improvements for Police;
• One (1) Chevrolet Tahoe will be replacing one (1) 2014 Tahoe for Police;
• One (1) 1/2 Ton Extended Cab Pickup will be replacing one (1) 2008 SUV for Planning & Development (Engineering);
• Three (3) 3/4 Ton Crew Cab Pickups will be improvements for Planning & Development (Facility Services);
• One (1) 1/2 Ton Extended Cab Pickup will be replacing one (1) 2008 Pickup for Police;
• One (1) 1/2 Ton Crew Cab Pickup will be an improvement for Public Works (Streets);
• One (1) 1/2 Ton Crew Cab Pickup will be an improvement for Parks & Recreation (Cemetery);
• One (1) 1/2 Ton Crew Cab Pickup will be replacing one (1) 2001 SUV for Planning & Development (Engineering);
• Two (2) 1 Ton Utility Body Vans will be replacing two (2) 2010-2014 Van's for Planning & Development (Facility Services);
• One (1) 1/2 Ton Extended Cab Pickup will be an improvement for Parks & Recreation (Lake);
• One (1) 1/2 Ton Extended Cab Pickup will be replacing one (1) 1999 Pickup for Environmental Services (Landfill);
• One (1) 1/2 Ton Extended Cab Pickup will be an improvement for Planning & Development (Engineering);
• One (1) 1/2 Ton Extended Cab Pickup will be replacing one (1) 2012 Pickup for Public Works (Water);
• One (1) 1/2 Ton Extended Cab Pickup will be replacing one (1) 2012 Pickup for Public Works (Water);
• One (1) 1/2 Ton Extended Cab Pickup will be an improvement for Public Works (Water);
• One (1) 1/2 Ton Extended Cab Pickup will be replacing one (1) 2005 Pickup for Planning & Development (Engineering);
• One (1) 1/2 Ton Extended Cab Pickup will be replacing one (1) 2005 Pickup for Planning & Development (Building Inspections);
Notice of bid #19023 was advertised in the Fort Worth Star Telegram and Bid Sync; it was distributed to 45 vendors.
The low bids received from Freedom Chevrolet, Grapevine DCJ, LLC, and Caldwell Country Chevrolet meet specifications and are recommended for award.
