Analysis
On January 8, 2019 the City Council approved a contract with The Home Depot Hill (19-8554) for complete interior and exterior renovations of the Grand Prairie Historical Building in the amount of $347,246.40.
The current Change Order/Amendment No. 3 in the amount of $22,030 is divided as follows:
$6,000 - 12” double ply laminated beams to shore up sagging roof structure
$3,110 - removal and replacement of brick associated with the previously existing planter box area
$1,780 - leveling of floor slab at kitchen and conference room areas prior to finish flooring
$500 - replacement of broken window caused by vandalism
$3,000 - replacement of all damaged iron piping under slab in wet area locations
$2,420 - new wood blocking and metal trim wrap for coordination with new window replacement
$5,220 - built-in buffet millwork with storage below in museum area
Change Order/Amendment No. 1 and Change Order/Amendment No. 2 in the total amount of $34,444.44 were approved by the City on June 28, 2019 (Purchase Order 353810) and consisted of exterior stone reinforcement ($28,444.44) and sewer utility upgrades ($6,000).
This Change Order/Amendment No. 3 along with the previous Change Order/Amendment No. 1 and Change Order/Amendment No. 2 will be incorporated into the current Home Depot contract for a revised total contract in the amount of $403,720.84.
This item was taken to the Finance and Government Committee on September 3, 2019 for their review and recommendation for approval.
