Analysis
On June 21, 2011, City Council awarded a price agreement with GST Public Safety through an Inter-Local Agreement with Tarrant County in the amount of $95,000 for the purchase of law enforcement uniforms. On August 20, 2013, the City Council awarded a price agreement to Red the Uniform Tailor, through an Inter-Local agreement with the City of Frisco in the amount of $65,871, as a secondary source for purchases of law enforcement uniforms. The contract with Red the Uniform Tailor has since been increased to $66,050.55 through Amendments. The combined total of the contracts is $160,871.
On June 1, 2015, GST Public Safety was acquired by Red the Uniform Tailor and no longer has an agreement through Tarrant County so the City’s contract with GST Public Safety was canceled. Due to the acquisition and cancellation of the contract, the Department is requesting to transfer the amount of the former GST Public Safety contract to Red the Uniform Tailor by increasing the Red the Uniform Tailor contract by $95,000. The new amount of the Red the Uniform Tailor contract will be $160,871. There is no net increase to the total amount contracted for purchases of law enforcement uniforms.
