Analysis

The Master Transportation Plan is a key component of the Comprehensive Plan. The recommendations of the Plan, along with the Thoroughfare Map, are used to guide both land use and capital improvement decisions. In conjunction with the 2018 Comprehensive Plan update, the MTP has also been updated along with the Thoroughfare Map. Article 23 of the Unified Development Code will also be updated with emphasis on traffic calming and improvements to standard streets sections to require more multi-modal facilities (i.e., pedestrian paths and bike lanes) on major thoroughfares.
