On Wednesday, November 30, 2016 the City of Grand Prairie opened bids for Miscellaneous Drainage Improvements at Section 1-Lake Parks West Drainage Flume from Spillway to Inlet Structure at Camp Wisdom Road and Lynn Road; Section 2-Central Park Lake 1 Pipe. The low bidder is Guerrero’s Construction in the Base Bid amount of $155,750.00 for total bid amount of $155,750.00.
As part of the approved FY16 Capital Projects Budget and Capital Projects Plan for Miscellaneous Drainage Improvements the following locations needing drainage improvements were designed and bid for construction:
1. As part of an agreement with the The Lake Parks West PID, a drainage flume with grouted rock rip rap slope protection is proposed to provide an improved gravity drainage outfall to drain standing storm water from the detention basin drainage spillway area serving the Lake Parks West Addition.
2. The Central Park Lake 1 Pipe project is to provide a the conduit to take excess flows in Warrior Creek into the adjacent lake 1 in order to help maintain normal pool lake levels.
This project provides for the removal of the existing brush and trees on the channel banks and the uneven grouted rock channel from the spillway to the drainage inlet structure at Camp Wisdom Road and provide a new reinforced concrete drainage flume with new grouted rock riprap side slopes to serve the Lake Parks West Addi...
