Analysis
GPISD has changed their elementary school afternoon bell times to 3:35 pm making it necessary to modify effective times for all 23 GPISD elementary schools within the City of Grand Prairie from 3:00 - 4:00 pm to a new time of 3:20 pm to 4:20 pm. This affects a total of 57 existing school zones.
Financial Consideration
The effective time changes will be reprogrammed for school flasher and/or static signs will be modified with the new times. Any cost associated with these modified school zones will be paid out of the Street operating budget.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GRAND PRAIRIE, TEXAS, AMENDING SCHEDULE III OF THE TRAFFIC REGISTER TO ESTABLISH MAXIMUM SPEED LIMITS LESS THAN 30 MPH; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND TO BECOME EFFECTIVE UPON ITS PASSAGE, APPROVAL AND PUBLICATION
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND PRAIRIE, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. THAT Schedule III - Establish Maximum Speed Limits less than 30 mph shall be amended as follows:
