Analysis
The cities of Arlington and Grand Prairie are proposing an adjustment of the boundary between the cities along State Highway 360. Under the agreement, segments of frontage road along SH 360 will be exchanged and form a new boundary between the cities in those areas. Grand Prairie will acquire from Arlington two northbound segments of frontage road along SH 360 abutting the Grand Prairie city limits, and Arlington will acquire from Grand Prairie one southbound segment of frontage road along SH 360 abutting Arlington’s city limits. Maps are attached. The boundary adjustments will eliminate law enforcement obstacles associated with frontage roads of one city serving as access points into residential properties and businesses of the other.
Financial Consideration
Arlington and Grand Prairie are splitting the cost of the survey of the new boundary line.
