SUMMARY:

Consider a request to approve a final plat to create a one lot multi-family residential subdivision. The 22.98-acre property located north of Sara Jane Parkway and west of Bob Smith Parkway, is zoned Planned Development 353 (PD-353) District and is within the Interstate Highway-20 (I-20) Corridor Overlay District.

PURPOSE OF REQUEST:

The applicant is proposing to final plat 22.98 undeveloped acres in PD-353 and I-20 Overlay Districts to allow a multi-family development.

CONFORMANCE WITH COMPREHENSIVE PLAN:

The property is designated as High Density Residential Use (HDR) on the Future Land Use Map (FLUM). The FLUM identifies development in this category should include zoning districts MF-1, MF-2, and MF-3, as well as, Planned Development Districts with one or more of these uses. The proposal would allow a multi-family residential use. The project is consistent with the FLUM.
