Analysis
The City is completing Phase 2 of the video surveillance system upgrade in the Public Safety Building. This project will upgrade the remaining cameras in the interior and exterior of the building. The equipment and installation service will be provided by Knight Security under DIR State Purchasing Contract #SDD-1725 in the amount of $104,348.60. Purchases from the state list have already been bid and do not require a separate local bid.
Financial Consideration
Funding for the security equipment from Knight Security in the amount of $104,348.60 is available as follows:
1. $100,000 in the Police Capital Projects Fund (401091), WO #01705103 (PSB Security Cameras);
2. $4,349 by approving an ordinance transferring and appropriating from the unobligated fund balance in the Capital Reserve Fund (402590) to the Police Capital Projects Fund (401091), WO #01705103 (PSB Security Cameras).

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GRAND PRAIRIE, TEXAS:
SECTION 1. THAT THE FY 2016/2017 Capital Improvement Projects Budget be amended by transferring and appropriating $4,349 from the unobligated fund balance in the Capital Reserve Fund (402590), to the Police Capital Projects Fund (401091), WO #01705103 (PSB Security Cameras).
