Analysis
On December 15, 2015 the City of Grand Prairie awarded a Professional Engineering Services contract with Teague, Nall and Perkins, Inc. for paving, drainage and waterline design of Seeton Road between Grand Peninsula Parkway and Day Miar Road in the amount of $424,800
This proposed Change order/ Amendment No.4 in the total amount of $13,000 provides for the following items:
1. For Incorporating and coordinating Taaffe Creek Erosion Protection plans prepared by Halff Associates into the Seeton Road Project due to its close proximity;
2. Provides for the preparation of cost estimates and turn lane exhibits for possible turn lane improvements at Seeton Road and the Day Miar Rd. intersection with the City of Mansfield (not pursued by both cities due to the cost involved as well as safety concerns);
3. Provides for the preparation of construction Traffic control plans to be included in the Seeton Road construction bid documents.
Change Order/Amendment No.3 in the amount of $16,500 provided for the Coordination and Permitting with the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) for impacts to Jurisdictional Areas, including wetland determination, Preparation of tree mitigation plan and other permitting requirements.
Change Order/Amendment No.2 in the amount of $17, 800 provided for the design and plan preparation of 980 Linear feet of wastewater main in Seeton road and the decommissioning of the Lakeview West lift Station; it also provided for the review and comment on the proposed wastewater and overall design of the Lake way Estates Development along Seeton Road.
