Analysis

The City of Midlothian is seeking to estalish an extraterritorial boundary line adjustment with the City of Grand Prairie in order to allow the City of Midlothian to annex the portion of their industrial park, known as the Midlothain Business Park, currently located within Grand Prairie's extraterritorial jurisdiciton. The 107-acre property is located just north of US Hwy. 67 and east of V. V.  Jones Road.  Said tract is situated in the John Chamblee Survey, Abstract No. 192, and the Leeman Kelsey Survey, Abstract No. 593, in Ellis County, Texas. In exchange for said property, the City of Midlothian agrees to disannex a 113-acre property  situated in the S.B. Hollar Survey, Abstract No. 529, the Simon Snider Survey, Abstract No. 1008, the G.G. Alford Survey, Abstract No. 23, and the William Pearson Survey, Abstract No. 880, in Ellis County, Texas.
