Analysis
On November 1, 2013, staff received two (2) proposals for the installation of conduit and pull boxes per Oncor specification to provide electric service to the traffic signals along Lake Ridge Pkwy Extension project, south of IH20. The lower proposal was from Durable Specialties, Inc and a Purchase Order was issued in the amount of $48,662.
Revision No. 1 to the purchase order corrected the quantities of several items to match the actual quantities installed, and reduced the total to $45,455.50.
To complete the installation, we need an additional two (2) Oncor cast in place Transformer Pads in the amount of $2,550 each. With this revision to the Purchase Order, the total will increase to $50,555.50 and now exceeds the City Manager's authority.
Financial Consideration
Funding for the installation of conduit and pull boxes per Oncor, in the amount of $5,100, is available in the Street Capital Projects Fund (400192), WO #08802103 (Lake Ridge - GSW to IH 20).
