Analysis
On March 3, 2015 the City Council of Grand Prairie approved a construction contract to Klutz Construction in the amount of $786,098 for drainage improvements at various locations at two locations: Section I: Outfall rehabilitation along Waterford Drive and Section II: Skyline Road at Henry Branch.
Change Order No. 1 approved September 3, 2015 in the amount of $26,521.60 allowed for a TxDOT pedestrian handrail, erosion control blanket, gabion wall, sidewalk and various other items of site restoration.
Change Order No. 2 approved October 7, 2015 in the amount of $7,260 allowed for wrought iron fencing in the outfall rehabilitation along Waterford Drive section.
Change Order No. 3 and 4 were time extensions only.
The current and Final Change Order/Amendment No. 5 provides for final construction adjustments in the net amount of $6,559.41.
Total project cost was $829,438.11.
Financial Consideration
State statutes require City Council approval of a change order when the cumulative cost of this change order exceeds $50,000. Additional funding in the amount of $6,559.41 is available in project contingency and in the Stormwater Capital Project Fund (401592) WO #01506201 (FY15 Misc Drainage).
