Analysis

The City has met all the requisite processes to propose a public hearing regarding impacts fees.  These included formation of an advisory committee, presentation of data and recommendations to thereto, a 30 day notice in newspapers of local circulation in the impact fee areas advertising the hearing and advising the public as to the availability of the study.  In addition, we briefed the Development and Finance Committees of the City Council.  All three committees recommended going forward with the staff recommendations which, if implemented, would raise the combined water and wastewater impact fee in the North Sector by 13.3% and in the South Sector by 29.23% %.
