Analysis
This contract provides for professional engineering and surveying services to prepare Preliminary 30% design plans of the following improvements:
Reconstruction of approximately 5000 linear feet of Carrier Parkway between I-30 and SH 161 from its current 4-lane asphalt section to a minimum 4-lane curbed concrete section with sidewalks. This contract will also explore options to improve current horizontal and vertical roadway alignments. This project will also include reconstruction of approximately 5000 linear feet of waterline, 5000 linear feet of Wastewater main, construction of approximately 4000 linear feet of underground Storm Drain collection system and reconstruction of Driveway and Cross Street approaches.
Estimated Schedule
This proposed Engineering contract will be scheduled to begin in February 2018 with anticipated preliminary 30% design completion by July 2018.

Funding for Professional Engineering and Surveying Services contract with Salcedo Group, Inc. for preliminary design services to reconstruct Carrier Parkway from I-30 to SH 161 in the amount of $284,143 plus a 5% contingency of $14,207 for a total of $298,350, is available in the Streets Capital Projects Funds (400192) WO #01808203 (Carrier Pkwy Ph I).
