Analysis
The lot at 2105 Beaumont Street was struck off to the City by Dallas County, as trustee, for the taxing jurisdictions, in August 2015 for delinquent taxes, penalties, interest and court costs. This property was intended to be transferred by quitclaim deed to the Grand Prairie Community Housing Organization (the "CHODO") in exchange for the City's payment of the full amount of the taxes due in the amount of $373.70; however, in May of 2017, this property was instead erroneously transferred by quitclaim to Grand Prairie Housing and Neighborhood Services, even though the CHODO paid the $373.70 to effectuate the sale. This item authorizes the City Manager or his designee to execute a quitclaim deed to THE GRAND PRAIRIE COMMUNITY HOUSING ORGANIZATION, in order to correct the error in the original deed.
