On June 24, 2014, ONCOR scheduled a massive electrical replacement project. The project required power outages for over 2,660 households in the Grand Peninsula Housing Development. As a precaution, fifteen (15) additional police units were deployed to the area. Tobianne Vaughn was assigned as the primary dispatcher for the southern portion of the City, which normally consists often (10) beat units. Due to the project, she was responsible for the dispatching and traffic mark outs for a total of twenty five (25) police units. From the period of 8:30 am to 2:00 pm, Tobianne dispatched or received a total of one hundred fifty two (152) calls for service, including one hundred twenty one (121) traffic mark outs. Her professionalism and calm demeanor was nothing less than exceptional. Based on Tobianne's superior performance during this period, I nominate her for Employee of the Month for the month of August.
