Analysis
In May 2015 Grand Prairie received the highest rainfall totals in recorded history. Receiving almost 17" of rain in one month tested all of the drainage systems in the area. Many erosion problems were caused as well as drainage channel structure failures. the Johnson Creek Channel Floor was damaged in seven locations. The proposed contract would repair those areas.
This project consists of selective demolition, erosion protection, rock rip-rap, geotextile fabric, earthwork and vegetation.
