On February 2, 2016, City Council Approved an Engineering and surveying services contract in the total amount of $545,200 with Kimley-Horn and Associates for Project Development Study and 30 Percent Design of Great Southwest Parkway from IH-20 to Mayfield Road. The project improvements provided for widening the roadway from four lanes to six lanes to help improve traffic circulation on Great Southwest Parkway north of IH-20 to Mayfield Road and would also help the Traders Village traffic.
The current proposed Change Order/Amendment #7 in the total net amount of $0 (zero) provides for increases and decreases associated with the design of the project. The increases are for Traffic impact study, driveway study and traffic counts; Subsurface utility engineering; Meeting with public for driveway coordination; Cathodic Protection Design, and bid phase evaluation services as well as construction phase services in the total positive amount of +$74,500.00. The decreases are for preparing survey, right-of-way and easement documents; Geotechnical work; Wastewater siphon design in the total negative amount of -$74,500.00 resulting in a cumulative amount of $149,000 and net amount of $0 (zero) Dollars requiring City Council approval.
Change Order/Amendment #1 approved by City Council on 8/2/16 16-5869 in the total amount of $689,500 for Phase II design of the design for the preparation of 100% of the construction drawings of the following improvements between IH-20 and Mayfield Road.
