Analysis
As part of the Cottonwood and Fish Creek Master Plans, it recommended stream stability improvements on Cottonwood Creek from West of Carrier Parkway to FM1382 at six stream locations and stream stability improvements on Fish Creek from Magna Carta Boulevard to Carrier Parkway at five locations.
Due to the similar work involved this contract provides the combined design and construction plan preparation to bid and construct the recommended stream stability improvements at the recommended 11 locations on Cottonwood and Fish Creek.
Chapter 252, Section 22 of the Local Government Code allows for the exemption to competitive bidding when the expenditure is for Professional Services such as engineering design services.
