Analysis

The price agreement includes replacement of flooring (carpet, tile, etc.) and will be used on an as needed basis for maintenance, repairs, and installation of flooring.

Chapter 271.102 of the Local Government Code authorizes local governments to participate in a cooperative purchasing program with another local government or local cooperative organization.  In lieu of competitive bidding, items and services may be purchased through such agreements as the agreements have already been bid by the sponsoring entity or agency.

The Texas Procurement and Support Services (TPASS) has established, as an alternative purchasing method, the use of Texas Multiple Award Schedule (TXMAS) contracts that have been developed from contracts awarded by the federal government or any other governmental entity of any state.

TXMAS contract 13-72050 began June 10, 2013 and will expire May 20, 2018.

Financial Consideration

Payments for these items will be charged to various departments' approved budgets.
