Analysis
Subsurface Utility Engineering services (SUE) is primarily used in the early detection and identification of utility conflicts with construction projects. SUE services, save time and money by enabling the design engineer to identify and avoid potential conflicts with existing utilities when preparing drawings for construction of capital improvement projects.
This on-call professional service contract may be utilized by other city departments if detection of subsurface utilities is deemed necessary.
This contract will terminate two years from notice to proceed date projected at the end of February 2016.
Financial Consideration
Funds will be specifically provided from various operating or CIP projects. This contract will provide subsurface utility engineering services for the City on ‘as-needed’ basis for a maximum amount of $120,000.
