Analysis
This contract is used to repair or alter City uniforms, mainly for the Police Department. Services include repair/replace zippers, alter waist/inseams on pants, hemming pants, sewing on logo/patches, and other mending such as ripped or torn pieces. Other departments may use these services as needed.
Notice of bid #19123 was advertised in the Fort Worth Star Telegram, and Bid Sync; it was distributed to 19 vendors. There were two Grand Prairie vendors available for this commodity. Five bids were received as shown on attached exhibit.
The low bids received from Amy’s Alterations, CK Alterations and Sylvia’s Alterations meet specifications and are recommended for award. The Police Department requested a multiple award so the officers would have optional locations to use.
